Hennadij Wiktorowytsch Razin ( Ukrainian Геннадій Вікторович Разін , Russian Геннадий Викторович Разин / Gennadi Viktorovich Rasin; * 3. February 1978 in Kharkiv , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Russian - Ukrainian hockey player , who most recently in HC Donbass of the Continental Hockey League contract was standing.

Career

Hennadij Rasin began his career as a hockey player with the Kamloops Blazers , for which he was active in the Western Hockey League from 1996 to 1998 . During this time he was selected in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft in the fifth round as a total of 122nd player by the Montréal Canadiens , for which he never played. Instead, the Ukrainian was on the ice from 1998 to 2002 for their farm teams from the American Hockey League , first in one season for the Fredericton Canadiens and then for three years for the Québec Citadelles .

He then moved to the Russian Super League , where he played for Amur Khabarovsk from 2002 to 2004 , before playing for Ak Bars Kazan from 2004 to 2007 . In addition, the defender played a total of 23 games for Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk in the 2004/05 season . With Ak Bars Kazan, Razin became Russian champion in 2006 and won the IIHF European Champions Cup in 2007 . Before the 2007/08 season he moved to HK Dynamo Moscow , with whom he won the Spengler Cup in 2008.

Between 2010 and 2013 he was with HK Traktor Chelyabinsk , with which he won the Continental Cup in 2012 as the team with the highest points in the KHL main round. After the 2012/13 season his contract with HK Traktor expired and Razin returned to his home country in HK Donbass Donetsk .

International

For Ukraine , Rasin took part in the World Championships in 2000 and 2004 .
