Henning Alexander von Kleist (born May 4, 1677 (also 1676), in Raddatz in Hinterpommern , † August 21, 1749 in Berlin ) was a Prussian field marshal .

In 1730 he became chief of a Berlin regiment on foot (1806: No. 26). In the War of the Austrian Succession he was army leader under Friedrich II and in 1741 as lieutenant general in command of the city of Kolberg . As a participant in the Battle of Mollwitz , he was made Knight of the Black Eagle Order on April 14, 1741 and later also received the Order Pour le Mérite . In 1745 Kleist was promoted to general of the infantry and two years later in 1747 to field marshal.

Henning Alexander v. Kleist was married to Albertine Marie von Biedersee, daughter of Georg Burchardt von Biedersee from Ilberstädt. With her he had seven sons and three daughters, of whom the daughter Wilhelmine Philippine (* 1720) married the Prussian district administrator Georg Ernst von Kleist .
