Henning Mittendorf

Henning Mittendorf (born March 3, 1938 in Holzminden ) is a German artist.

life and work

After graduating from high school, Henning Mittendorf studied law and economics . With distance learning, evening courses, university visits and study visits, he created the basis for a communicative art from 1956. Since 1980 Mail Art has been the artistic focus of Mittendorf's socially critical work. The artist uses heterogeneous techniques (such as collage , airbrush , etching , copier , laser and stamp printing ) and media (such as pencil, computer, brush and stamp) to create his messages in words and images. In connection with various exhibitions, he has conducted workshops on cutting and the artistic use of stamps. Essays and poems have been published in anthologies , magazines and art catalogs. Mittendorf's work is collected publicly and privately. Henning Mittendorf donated the completed part of his archive to the Museum for Communication Frankfurt in 2004 .
