Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes (Cuba)

The Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes in Havana is the most important art museum in Cuba .

The museum was founded in 1913 . Since 1953 it has been in its current domicile, the Palacio de Bellas Artes . Around 1200 works of art from antiquity, European and Latin American art to the present day are currently on display on an area of ​​7600 m².

The painting collection

The main attraction of the museum is the collection of European painting from the 15th to the early 20th century. The collection mainly includes works from the English, Flemish, French, Dutch, Italian and Spanish schools. Including some works of great art historical importance.
