Henri Bossi (born February 20, 1959 ) is a former Luxembourg soccer player and current coach .

Player career

society

At club level, midfielder Bossi played from 1975 to 1983 for Progrès Niederkorn in the national division . He was also active at Fola Esch during his playing career. He played a total of 277 games in Luxembourg's top division as well as ten matches in the European Cup, u. a. against Real Madrid and Grasshopper Zurich .

National team

On February 27, 1980 he was substituted on by coach Louis Pilot in the friendly game Luxembourg against Belgium (0: 5) in the 82nd minute for Nico Wagner. It was his only international match.

Coaching

Bossi briefly trained the US Bad Mondorf , with which he rose to the honorary doctorate in the 2009/10 season . From July 2010 he was coach at FC Progrès Niederkorn and held this position until October 1, 2012. He was supported by Gio Barnabo as assistant coach. After his retirement he trained again for a short time with the team from US Bad Mondorf. Since May 2013 he has been the sports director of FC Progrès Niederkorn. On May 27, 2015 it was announced that Bossi will be the new coach for the 2015/16 season at FC Wiltz 71 after Claude Ottelé left the club on May 23 after relegation. After only a few months he left Wiltz and signed with the Luxembourg second division club US Hostert . His assistant René Peters replaced him as trainer in summer 2019 . Then he acted briefly as assistant trainer to Emilio Ferreira at the F91 Dudelange . In March 2020 he was hired again at US Hostert.

Private

Henri Bossi is the brother of former national player Marcel Bossi .
