Herbert Gottschalk

Herbert Gottschalk (born June 9, 1919 in Kolowert / Wolhynien , † March 13, 1981 in Stuttgart ) was a German writer who wrote under the pseudonym Ata Hajan .

In 1938 Gottschalk began studying medicine in Berlin and was drafted into the Wehrmacht in 1940 after studying in Milan. After three serious wounds, Gottschalk was given leave of absence to study in 1942. Until 1945 he studied medicine, philosophy, psychology, art history, history and literature at the Universities of Freiburg im Breisgau , Breslau , at the Lyceum Hosianum in Braunsberg in East Prussia, then at the Universities of Königsberg and Göttingen .

Gottschalk continued his studies in Göttingen until 1949 and then worked as a writer and publisher. For many years he was the head of the “Science and General Education” editorial team at Bertelsmann Verlag in Gütersloh. From 1965 he edited the "Zeiss information" in the Carl Zeiss company. In 1970 he took over the management of the "Public Relations" department at Salamander AG . From 1974 onwards he was in charge of public relations at the Information Center for Business in Stuttgart. Gottschalk was a board member and state spokesman for the German Public Relations Society in Baden-Württemberg, as well as an employee of the “Blätter der Schule der Weisheit” and the educational monthly “Unser Schule”.

As one of his greatest works, Gottschalk published the book “World Moving Power Islam” in 1962. In doing so, he attempted to paint a broad picture of the religious, cultural and political reality of Islam.
