Herbert Leiser

Herbert Leiser (born June 17, 1941 in Näfels ) is a Swiss actor .

Life

Leiser attended drama school in Stuttgart from 1965 to 1968. From 1974 to 1977 he was a member of the ensemble at the Theater am Neumarkt in Zurich. In 1976 he had his first small role in the film Der Gehülfe based on the novel by Robert Walser and played a. a. in the television and cinema films "A love as strong as a bear", "Hello Goodbye" and "Tell". He had stage engagements at the State Theater in Stuttgart and at theaters in Tübingen, Schleswig and Aachen.

He has been present through television roles since the 1990s. Leiser worked as a narrator on the radio and as a speaker for radio plays . In 2013 Leiser received the Culture Prize of the Canton of Glarus and the Swiss Television Film Prize for the best supporting role in the film The Devil of Milan based on the novel by Martin Suter .
