Heriberto Andrés Bodeant Fernández (born June 15, 1955 in Young , Uruguay ) is Bishop of Melo .

Life

Heriberto Andrés Bodeant Fernández studied philosophy and theology in Montevideo and at the Catholic University of Lyon . On September 27, 1986 he received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Salto . After his chaplain years he was pastor in Paysandú from 1993 and also taught theology at the branch of the Universidad Católica del Uruguay there.

On 28 June 2003. appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of Ampora and ordered him to auxiliary bishop in Salto. The Bishop of Salto, Daniel Gil Zorrilla SJ , ordained him episcopal on September 27th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the bishop emeritus of Salto, Marcelo Mendiharat Pommies , and the bishop of Mercedes , Carlos María Collazzi Irazábal SDB . On June 13, 2009, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the Bishop of Melo.
