Herlich Marie Todsen-Reese (born August 15, 1952 in Malente ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

She was a member of the Schleswig-Holstein Landtag from 1996 to 2012 and vice -president of the Landtag from 2009 to 2012. She was honorary chairwoman of the board of the Nature Conservation Foundation Schleswig-Holstein and from 2005 to 2015 honorary president of the Musicians' Association Schleswig-Holstein .

Life and work

After high school at the Carl Maria von Weber School in Eutin graduated Splendid Marie Todsen-Reese studies in Landscape Management at the Technical University of Hannover , which she as a diploma - engineer ended. She then did a traineeship for the higher technical administrative service in the state building administration at the regional finance office in Kiel, which she completed with the state examination. Subsequently, she was initially a department head in the Schleswig-Holstein State Office for Nature Conservation and Landscape Management. She then worked as a personal advisor and press officer, initially to the Schleswig-Holstein Agriculture Minister Günter Flessner and later to Federal Council Minister Henning Schwarz . After working as an agricultural consultant in the Schleswig-Holstein state representation in Bonn, she became the government building director in the biological nature conservation department in the Schleswig-Holstein Ministry of the Environment.

She joined the CDU in 1979 and was, among other things, deputy chairwoman of the CDU district association in Ostholstein .

Herlich Marie Todsen-Reese was a member of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament from 1996 to 2012. She was a member of the board of the CDU parliamentary group from 2000 to 2007 and was deputy group chairman from 2005 to 2007.

In the state elections in 2000, Herlich Marie Todsen-Reese entered the state parliament via the state list and otherwise always as a directly elected member of the Eutin-Nord constituency . In the 2005 state elections , she received 47.4 percent of the first votes . In the early state parliament election in 2009 , she was re-elected with 37.2 percent of the first votes.
