Hermann Findel

Hermann Findel (born October 19, 1843 in Marktleugast ; † April 10, 1922 in Einbeck ) was a businessman, senator and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Findel attended the elementary school in Marktleugast and trained as a businessman in Vahlbruch near Polle from 1859 to 1863, conditioning in Hameln and Nordhausen . In 1872 he established himself in Einbeck and had a passementerie, haberdashery and white goods retail business until 1905. In May 1890 he was elected mayor, in January 1894 spokesman and in July 1903 senator in Einbeck. For many years he was a member of the district council and was a member of the board of the Hanover city association until his election as senator. Here he founded a business school and a savings and loan association for medium-sized and small businesses. In 1888/89 he was master of the chair of the Masonic lodge Georg to the three columns Einbeck.

He also served with the 4th Artillery Regiment of the Bavarian Army in Augsburg , participated in the wars of 1866 and 1870 voluntarily and retired as a non-commissioned officer . He was awarded the Iron Cross II. Class, the Military Cross of Merit , the War Memorial from 1866 and 1870, the Centenar Medal and the Landwehr Service Award .

From 1907 to 1912 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Hanover 11 ( Einbeck , Northeim , Osterode am Harz , Uslar ), and the National Liberal Party .
