Hermann Heineke
Hermann Heineke (born October 14, 1873 in Erlangen , † April 15, 1922 in Tübingen ) was a German surgeon and university professor.
Life
Heineke began studying medicine at the Albert Ludwig University in Freiburg. On October 22, 1891 he became active in the Corps Suevia Freiburg . As an inactive , he moved to the Philipps University of Marburg and later to the Friedrich Alexander University of Erlangen . There he was promoted to Dr. med. PhD . In 1896 he served as a one-year volunteer and troop doctor in Pirna and Königsbrück . In 1898 he went to the Jacobshospital (Leipzig) as an assistant doctor , but moved to his native Erlangen that same year. In 1900 he became a trainee doctor in the Hamburg Eppendorf Hospital . In 1901 he returned to the Leipzig Clinic, which in the meantime belonged to the Leipzig University Hospital . After completing his habilitation in 1904 , he was given an associate professor for surgery in 1910 . In 1914 he went to the First World War . Released in 1921 (probably due to illness), he died at the age of 49 on April 15 or 16, 1922 of peritonitis caused by a perforation of the abdominal organ. Perhaps the first physician to study the effects of X-rays on blood formation .
