Hermann Vogelsang (born August 16, 1897 in Gütersloh ; † March 11, 1985 ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

After elementary school , Hermann Vogelsang trained as a weaver . He later became a master weaver. Vogelsang had been a member of the union since 1918. In 1924 he joined the SPD. Vogelsang became chairman of the SPD sub-district Gütersloh- Wiedenbrück . In 1948 he became a city ​​councilor for the city of Gütersloh, from 1951 to 1952 Vogelsang was Gütersloh's mayor and then deputy mayor until 1970. In the Wiedenbrücker Kreisag he was from 1948 to 1956 and from 1961 SPD parliamentary group chairman . Vogelsang was chairman of the savings bank council and from 1953 to 1970 a member of the Westphalia-Lippe regional assembly . Vogelsang moved up during the fourth and a second time during the fifth electoral term in the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament . He was an MP from November 17, 1961 to July 20, 1962 and from October 11, 1965 to July 23, 1966.
