Hesselbach is a district of the municipality Wilhelmsthal in the Upper Franconian district of Kronach in Bavaria .

The place is surrounded by the places Lahm (north), Grümpelmühle (northeast), Wilhelmsthal (south) and Geschwend (northwest).

history

Hesselbach was first mentioned in a document in 1338. On May 1, 1978, the formerly independent community was incorporated into the Wilhelmsthal community.

Culture and sights

societies

In 1991 the Hesselbach village community was founded as an amalgamation of all associations. There is a music club and the sports club SSV Lahm-Hesselbach in the village.

There are four architectural monuments in the place: these include three wayside shrines and a stable house.
