Hetschbach is a district of Veilsdorf in the Hildburghausen district in Thuringia .

The district of Hetschbach can be reached via district road 531. The corridor of the village was a restricted border area of the GDR . Today the district borders on Bavaria . The district lies on the fertile ridge of the Long Mountain. It is largely the southern roof and watershed to the Weser . This location determines the climate. The view to the south is free.
history
The place was first mentioned in a document on December 17, 1317. Originally the village consisted of two farms, which then belonged to the Hessberg family. The Veilsdorf monastery was later owned from 1317. After that, the courts were princely domains .
On July 1, 1950, Hetschbach was incorporated into Veilsdorf. On September 17, 1961, Hetschbach was hived off to become an independent municipality again. On January 1, 1991 it was incorporated again.
