The Hetzbach is an approximately 10 km long right tributary of the Flöha near Oederan in the Saxon Ore Mountains .
course
The stream rises near Görbersdorf and runs northwest to Oederan. Here it flows through the center and takes from the right u. a. the Bornbach and the Saubach. Then it turns to the southwest and flows through Breitenau , only to turn again to the northwest, where it flows through Hetzdorf . This place gave the stream its name in a shortened form. Shortly before it flows into the Flöha, the Hetzbachtal is crossed by a 344 m long prestressed concrete bridge, inaugurated in 1992 , which was built to replace the Hetzdorf viaduct .
Flood
The Hetzbach is classified as a flood risk area according to the Saxon Water Management Act (WHG). This was shown e.g. B. during the August flood of 2002 , when the Hetzbach flooded the miniature park Klein-Erzgebirge and devastated it with mud.
