Baiting pen
The St. Mary's Hospital Hetzel pen , shortly Hetzel pen , in Neustadt an der Weinstraße ( Rhineland-Palatinate ) is a hospital of the basic and standard care and an academic teaching hospital of the University Medical Center Mainz . It is the only clinic in the Palatinate city.
Geographical location
The hospital with the address Stiftstr. 10 is located in the southern area of the core city at about 145 m above sea level. NHN Höhe near the federal highway 39 , which leads out of the city in the direction of Speyer and Landau .
history
The hospital was built in the Kingdom of Bavaria as a result of a donation from the eponymous banker Friedrich Hetzel (1804–1886) in 1879. Construction began in 1886, the year the founder died, and in 1889 it was inaugurated.
The Franciscan Sisters of Waldbreitbach have been running the facility, which is part of the Marienhaus Clinics , since 1981 .
