Hans-Jürgen Grund (* 1954 ) is a former German handball player and today's coach. The right winger played for the three East Westphalian clubs TSV Grün-Weiß Dankersen , TuS Nettelstedt and TBV Lemgo in the Bundesliga . Occasionally he was also used in the position of the middle back player.
career
Grund came from TSV Rüningen in 1974 to Bundesliga club TSV Grün-Weiß Dankersen . After two runner-up championships, he celebrated winning the German championship with the club in 1977 . He also won the DHB Cup three times with Dankersen . In 1979 he moved to the big rival TuS Nettelstedt , with whom he was able to celebrate his fourth cup success. After Grund had failed with Dankersen in the 1976 European Cup Winners' Cup in a dramatic final against BM Granollers , he managed to triumph against SC Empor Rostock with Nettelstedt in 1981 . In 1982 he moved again within East Westphalia to the second division club TBV Lemgo , with whom he rose to the Bundesliga a year later. After another season he took over the position of player-coach at the regional league club TuSpo Meißen. In the following years he continued to train in the amateur field (including the second team from TSV GWD Minden) and was briefly assistant coach at TBV Lemgo in the 1988/89 season . With the A-youth from TSV Rothenuffeln he became vice-Westphalia champion in the same playing year. Most recently he worked in many areas for the HSG Fuhlen-Hessisch Oldendorf.
Reason was initially a youth international and made his debut on November 8, 1976 in the away game against Sweden in Borås for the German national team . He played a total of seven international matches.
