European Cup Winners' Cup (handball) 1980/81

The 1980/81 European Cup Winners' Cup was the sixth staging of the competition for European handball cup winners . The 26 participating teams qualified in their home countries via the national cup competition for the European Cup organized by the International Handball Federation (IHF) ; the defending champion CB Calpisa Alicante was automatically qualified. In the final, TuS Nettelstedt prevailed against the FDGB Cup winner SC Empor Rostock in its first participation on the international stage (16:18, 17:14).
