European Cup Winners' Cup (handball) 2001/02

At the EHF European Cup Winners' Cup in 2001/02 34 took Handball part -Vereinsmannschaften, who qualified in the previous season in their home countries in the cup competition for the competition. It was the 27th edition of the cup winners' competition. The cup games began on October 6, 2001 and ended with the second final game on April 28, 2002. In the final, BM Ciudad Real prevailed against defending champion SG Flensburg-Handewitt .

mode

The competition started with two games in round 2. The winners moved into round 3, in which other, higher-rated teams entered. All rounds including the final were carried out in a knockout system with a return leg. The winner of the final was the 2001/02 European Cup Winners' Cup.
