European Cup Winners' Cup (handball) 1981/82
The 1981/82 European Cup Winners' Cup was the seventh edition of the competition for European handball cup winners . The 25 participating teams qualified in their home countries through the national cup competition for the European Cup organized by the International Handball Federation (IHF) ; the defending champion TuS Nettelstedt was automatically qualified. In the final, last year's finalist SC Empor Rostock prevailed against the Czechoslovak representative ASVS Dukla Prague (14:17, 22:18).

The Rostock captain Helmut Wilk was excluded from the game in the 40th minute with a score of 11: 9 for the FDGB Cup winner after the third 2-minute time penalty .

Seydel scored the decisive goal at 22:18 30 seconds before the final siren, without which the away goal rule would have applied and the competition would have decided in favor of the Czechoslovaks.
