EHF European Cup Winners' Cup 1979/80

The European Women's Cup Winners' Cup 1979/80 was the fourth edition of the competition in which 15 handball club teams from 15 countries took part. They qualified in the previous season in their home countries in the cup competition for the European Cup . In the final, the Czechoslovak club Iskra Partizánske won 5: 3 after a seven-meter shootout against RK Lokomotiva Zagreb. Both games ended after regular playing time 16:16 and extra time had not yet been introduced for this competition. Teams from Poland , Hungary , the Soviet Union and the GDR did not take part in the competition due to the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow .
