Hilde Heger (also Hildegard Heger , born February 26, 1899 in St. Johann im Pongau ; † July 10, 1998 in Salzburg ) was a Salzburg artist .

Heger studied at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna with Viktor Schufinsky , Adolf Böhm and Michael Powolny . She created a war memorial for the collegiate church of St. Peter in Salzburg and a children's drinking fountain for the Nonntal , just as children's portraits were her specialty.

In the 1920s, Heger worked briefly in the Martiny ceramic studio in Radstadt . Heger designed numerous fountains in public spaces , including the Papageno fountain in Salzburger Pfeifergasse . She created some expressionist designs during her time in the Scheibbs sound industry . The artist also made busts of famous Austrian contemporaries. Heger has received several awards for her artistic work, early on with the Austrian State Prize (1934).

A “Hilde Heger Women's Art Prize” has been awarded in Salzburg since 1997.
