Himmel auf is the fourth studio album by the German band Silbermond . The first single of the same name was released on February 3, the album on March 23, 2012.

background

After Silbermond published the Single Session Session Session Session Session Session in 2010, which reached number 48 in the German charts, the band fell silent . In early 2012 it was announced that a new album would be released in March. As with the first three albums, the band wrote all the lyrics themselves. The album was produced by Bernd Wendlandt, Ingo Politz and Thomas Stolle.

Single releases

The song “ Himmel auf” was released as the first single on February 3, 2012 . Silbermond shot a video clip for this song, which is about 14 minutes long. The single reached number five in Germany, sixth in Austria and 24th in Switzerland.

The second single was released on July 6, 2012, FDSMH (For you my heart beats) . This single was also able to place itself in the German charts immediately after its release. On October 19, Ja was released as the third single.

Album review

Christoph Dorner from Laut.de said about the album that for the first time Silbermond sounded a little less like " Ossis " and a little more like Coldplay and awarded two out of five stars.
