Waste your time is the debut album by the German pop rock band Silbermond . It was published on July 12, 2004 by Modul / Sony BMG and sold around 740,000 times.
Emergence
The beginnings of the album go back to the time when the band moved from Bautzen to Berlin to improve their chances of success. From Sat.1 - magazine Blitz the move under the name was Silver Moon, the hard way to fame filmed and broadcast. In January 2004 they went on tour as the opening act for Jeanette Biedermann . Ingo Politz and Bernd Wendlandt, who have already worked with artists such as Bell, Book & Candle and Angelzoom , were appointed as producers for the debut album . The album itself was released on July 12, 2004.

reception
The album received rather negative reviews from critics .
Alexander Cordas awards 2 out of 5 stars on laut.de and above all criticizes the irrelevant texts, which he describes as texts from the lyric group of the local high school. He also rates the music as not exceptional.
Armin Lindner from plattentests.de also criticizes the album and writes that the melodies always sound the same. He criticizes the lyrics even more. It awards 3 out of 10 points.
Albert Ranner gives 5 out of 10 points on cdstarts.de. He also describes the lyrics as rather unimaginative and meaningless, but praises the singer Stefanie Kloß.
The album was also rated worse by buyers. The users of cdstarts.de give 5.3 out of 10 points, on plattentests.de the album only gets 2 out of 10 possible points and on laut.de the average user rating is 4 out of 5 stars.
