Thought out loud is the second studio album by the German pop rock band Silbermond . The album was released on April 21, 2006 by Sony BMG and sold over 450,000 copies.

Emergence

The album was made in October 2005, right after the 2005 tour. The band drew on thoughts and experiences from the time after the album was released, Verschwende Your Time .

As with the debut album Verschwende Your Time , Ingo Politz and Bernd Wendlandt were used as producers .

Singles

On March 31, 2006, the first single was released before the album came out with Infinite . The single reached number ten in the German single charts and stayed in the charts for 15 weeks. In Austria , Infinite came in 14th, in Switzerland 23rd.

On July 7, 2006 his second single was released with his sea . The single reached number 77 in the German charts, number 36 in Austria and number 69 in Switzerland.

The third single Das Beste was released on October 10, 2006. In Germany, the single went straight to number 1 . In total, Das Beste was number 1 in the German single charts for 7 weeks, and the single stayed in the Top 100 for 75 weeks. The single also reached number 1 in Austria and stayed at the top for 6 weeks. In total, Das Beste stayed in the Austrian charts for 46 weeks. The single reached number 3 in Switzerland and stayed in the charts for 53 weeks.

The fourth single was released on March 30, 2007 Das Ende vom Kreis . In Germany the single reached number 27 and lasted 9 weeks.

New editions

The re-edition was released on October 26, 2006, which also contained the single version of Das Beste . On October 19, 2007 a re-re-edition was published, which also contains the video for The Best .

reception

The album received various reviews from critics , but mostly it did not get above an average rating.

Artur Schulz awards 2 out of 5 stars on laut.de and describes the album as too predictable, but particularly praises Stefanie Kloß's singing.

Christian Preußer from plattentests.de awards 3 out of 10 points and above all criticizes the texts that he calls "underground".

Christian Kruschel awards 6.5 out of 10 points on cdstarts.de, but also criticizes the lyrics.

letmeentertainyou.de describes the album as German soft rock without a bite and awards 2 out of 5 points.

Awards

The album itself received three platinum records in Germany and a platinum record in Austria and Switzerland.

The single Das Beste achieved platinum status in Germany and Austria. Das Beste also won an ECHO and a COMET in the Best Song category .
