Hintere Gasse (hiking trail)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Hintere Gasse , a variant of the Bärentrek, is a series of passes in the Bernese Oberland that separate the main chain of the Bernese Alps from the northern Bernese Pre-Alps , which are free of snow in summer . It connects the north-sloping valleys of the Bernese Oberland.

Coming from the east, the Hintere Gasse runs from Meiringen over the Grosse Scheidegg to Grindelwald , then over the Kleine Scheidegg to Mürren , over the Sefinenfurgge into the Kiental , over the Hohtürli to Kandersteg , over the Bunderchrinde to Adelboden , over the Hahnenmoospass into the Lenk , over the Iffigenalp to Lauenen , over the Krinne to Gsteig and over the Col du Pillon to Les Diablerets , from where the Grande Eau flows down into the Valais .

The Hintere Gasse is part of the Via Alpina in Switzerland.
