Hirschenwies is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Moorbad Harbach in the Gmünd district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 128 building areas with 35,371 m² and 16 gardens on 8,549 m² in the cadastral community Hirschenwies, in 1989/1990 there were also 129 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 358 and in 2009/2010 there were 240 buildings on 334 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is shaped by forestry. 278 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of 1979/1980 and 1308 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 228 hectares and 1345 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 208 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 1,323 hectares. The average soil climate number of Hirschenwies is 12.9 (as of 2010).
