Lauterbach is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Moorbad Harbach in the Gmünd district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there was a total of 70 building areas with 28,884 m² and 14 gardens on 4,716 m² in the cadastral community Lauterbach, in 1989/1990 there were 69 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 212 and in 2009/2010 there were 125 buildings on 211 building areas.

Agriculture

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 345 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 462 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 269 hectares and 520 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 254 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 522 hectares. Lauterbach's average soil climate number is 18.1 (as of 2010).
