The Hirzbach is nearly half a kilometer long orographic left tributary of Odenbaches in the Rhineland-Palatinate Kusel district in the area of the municipality Lauterecken-Wolfenstein belonging municipality Reipoltskirchen .

The Hirzbach rises in the natural area of Moschelhöhen of the North Palatinate mountainous region within the Hefersweiler district at an altitude of 286  m above sea level. NHN in the Steinwald at the eastern foot of the Steinkopf ( 403.3  m ). Its source lies in a mixed forest just under half a kilometer west-southwest of the Ingweilerhof residential area, which is part of the Reipoltskirchen community .

The stream flows strongly straightened and accompanied by dense vegetation, first through grassland of the Brunnwiesenacker corridor , then along the edge of deciduous forest and finally flows next to a bridge and opposite the hamlet of Ingweilerhof at a height of 210  m from the left into the Odenbach coming from the southeast .

The Hirzbach has a catchment area of ​​10.6 hectares and drains into the North Sea via the Odenbach , Glan , Nahe and Rhine . The height difference from its source to its mouth is 76 m, which corresponds to a mean bed gradient of 189 ‰ over a length of 402 m.
