The Hohe Sieben is a former nature reserve in the Lower Saxon community of Hüde in the combined community of Altes Amt Lemförde in the Diepholz district .
The nature reserve with the registration number NSG HA 035 was 75.3 hectares in size. It was part of the FFH area “Dümmer” and for the most part also part of the EU bird protection area “Dümmer”. The area is to a large extent from the conservation area surrounded "Dumber". The area has been under nature protection since September 2, 1971. On August 16, 2019, the newly designated nature reserve "Dümmer, Hohe Sieben and Ochsenmoor" opened. The responsible lower nature conservation authority was the district of Diepholz.
The area lies between Lembruch and Hüde on the east bank of the Dümmers on the edge of the Dümmerniederung. Together with the "Dümmer" and "Ochsenmoor" nature reserves, which have become part of the "Dümmer, Hohe Sieben and Ochsenmoor" nature reserve, as well as the " Western Dümmerniederung " nature reserve to the west of the Dümmer and the " Huntebruch and Huntebruchwiesen " nature reserve north of the Dümmer , the largest part of the Lowland protected by nature conservation law.
The former nature reserve placed a bank area under protection. The greater part of the area lies behind the Dümmerdeich built in the 1970s. This area is watered all year round with the help of wind pumps in order to preserve the habitat in which reed beds and sedge meadows can be found. On the edge of the former nature reserve, small swamp forest areas have been preserved. In front of the dike, the protected area includes a 200 m wide silting zone. The Dümmerdeich itself and the smoke water digging directly behind it were not part of the nature reserve.
