The house Hohe Straße 25 is a listed building in the city of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located in the historic Quedlinburg old town west of the market square and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site . The house Hohe Straße 24 , which is also listed, is adjacent to the south and Hohe Straße 26 to the north .

Architecture and history

The three-storey half - timbered house is entered in the Quedlinburg monument register as a merchant's farm. It was based on an inscription on the threshold of the first floor in 1672. The letters SZ and a coat of arms refer to the builder . It is believed that this is a reference to the carpenter Andreas Schröder . The baroque front building has a gate on its north side. The half-timbered facade is richly decorated, the upper floors protrude. On the facade of the second floor there are early decorative brickwork in the compartments . There are alternating diamond crosses and parapet struts .

A border wing attached to the courtyard dates from around 1800.
