In the north is the Buckautal community , in the east the community center and in the south the community Wiesenburg / Mark . The majority of the district is forested or used for agriculture. history

The place founded by Slavs was first mentioned in 975. For many centuries it was owned by the von Schierstedt family , who also held the church patronage . On their initiative, craftsmen built a stone church in the 13th century , which was renovated in 1696 and a year later was given new church furnishings . Early 18th century they gave the hosting of agricultural land and leased the estate, including 1,721 at the bailiff Werner honey and 1786 to the bailiff Romler . At that time there was only one blacksmith in the village. The residents improved their livelihood by weaving linen as a sideline. In 1908 a volunteer fire brigade was founded. After the end of the Second World War , the number of inhabitants rose to a temporary high in 1945 due to resettlers with 485 inhabitants. At the time of the GDR there was a production facility of VEB Kleinlederwaren Belzig.

In the course of the regional reform in 2002, Hohenlobbese and the Wutzow part of the municipality came to Görzke.
