The Holzgraben is a left and western tributary of the border ditch in the Central Franconian districts of Ansbach and Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen .

The wooden ditch rises near the Gunzenhausen - Wassertrüdingen wind farm between Obermögersheim in the southwest and Stetten in the northeast at an altitude of 506  m above sea level. NN . The stream flows steadily from east to south-east and crosses a wide open landscape . After a run of around 1.6 kilometers, it empties at an altitude of 451  m above sea level. NN west of Nordstetten and Weilerau from the left into the border ditch.
