Homerun is the title of a double album by the Kelly Family , which was released in 2004.

History of origin

Six of the siblings played on the album. Among the guest musicians there is also another brother, Paul Kelly, who left the band in 1984.

The two CDs ( Home and Run ) each reflect a different genre of music. Acoustic songs can be heard throughout on the Home CD . Songs like Walking or Strange World are influenced by jazz . The second CD, Run , contrasts with the first. Electric guitars and drums can be heard. In addition to “good mood songs” such as Streets of Love or Everybody Is Beautiful , serious topics are also dealt with: Blood is about child soldiers . China Keitetsi , a former child soldier in Uganda herself , inspired the family to write this song and speaks of their experiences in the intro . The first single -Auskopplung Flip a coin is about the suicide of a close friend of the family.
