The Hopfstattgraben (also shown as Lachwiesenbach on some maps ) is a right tributary of the Igelsbach near Absberg in the Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen district in Central Franconia .

The Hopfstattgraben rises at an altitude of 439  m above sea level. NN southwest of Igelsbach . After an eastward run of about 1.1 kilometers it flows out at an altitude of 419  m above sea level. NN southeast of Igelsbach from the left into the river of the same name. The entire course of the Hopfstattgraben crosses a wide open landscape of the Spalter hill country . Not far is the nature reserve " Stauwurzel" of the Igelsbachsee .
