Horst Küblböck

Horst Küblböck (* 1939 ) is an Austrian trombonist and university professor.

When the Institute for Jazz at the Kunstuni Graz was founded in 1965, Küblböck was a member of the institute ensemble with tuba and bass trombone .

From 1969 he occupied the third trombone with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra . He worked several times with the Clemencic Consort .

From 1982 to 2001 he was a university professor for trombone at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna . His students included u. a. Otmar Gaiswinkler , Norbert Salvenmoser , Gerhard Füßl , Bernhard Holl , Sebastian Fuchsberger and Tibor Nemeth .

His son Dietmar Küblböck is also a professor of trombone.
