Sebastian Fuchsberger
Sebastian Fuchsberger (* 1971 in Salzburg ) is an Austrian trombonist and singer ( tenor ).
Coming from the Koppler family of musicians Fuchsberger, he studied trombone from 1988 to 1996 at the Mozarteum and the Vienna University of Music with Friedrich Unterberger, Horst Küblböck , Rudolf Josel and attended courses with Branimir Slokar .
As a trombonist, singer, arranger and composer, he was a member of the Mnozil Brass group from 1992 to 2005 and of the Global Kryner group from 2002 to 2008 . He was a founding member of both groups.
Between 1994 and 2004 he performed concerts and recordings with the Vienna Philharmonic , the Vienna Symphony , the St. Petersburg Philharmonic , the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra , the Vienna Volksoper , the Vienna Sound Forum , the Camerata Academia Salzburg , the Vienna Chamber Orchestra and the Vienna Pocket Opera , the Janus Ensemble, Mund.Art, the Burgtheater and bands such as Vienna Art Orchestra , Max Nagel and the Alegre Correa Group. In 1996/97 he was engaged as a trombonist in the stage orchestra of the Vienna State Opera .
From 1997 to 2002 he studied singing. He participated in the Arnold Schoenberg Choir and the Vienna State Opera Choir and performed as a soloist in the Burgtheater, with the Innviertel Symphony Orchestra and with bands such as Mnozil Brass , Global Kryner , Pro Brass , Alegre Corrêa , Gansch & Roses and da Blechhauf'n . In 2007/08 he worked on Erika Stucky's project “Suicidal Yodels”.
From 2008 he appeared exclusively as a singer. First roles were Caramello ( One Night in Venice , J. Strauss ), Don Polidoro ( La finta semplice , Mozart ) and Don Ottavio ( Don Giovanni , Mozart). In the concert area he sang in Haydn's Creation and the Seasons , in Franz Schmidt's The Book with Seven Seals and Masses, mainly by Mozart and Haydn. He was also in Roland Neuwirth's “Schrammel Operetta” and that with us! to listen. From September 2010 Sebastian Fuchsberger was engaged as tenor at the Musical Comedy , the Operettenhaus of the Leipzig Opera. From the 2013/14 season he was a permanent member of the Leipzig Opera, where he sang Tamino in "Die Zauberflöte", Prince Reinhold in "Sleeping Beauty", Abdallo in "Nabucco", Gastone in "La Traviata" and Edmondo in "Manon Lescaut" ".
In spring 2013 he made his debut as Lemminkäinen at the Chemnitz Opera House, followed by his debut at the Mörbisch Seefestspiele as Symon in the summer.
