Peschke began his career as a football player in 1955 with the Erzgebirge Company Sports Association (BSG) Motor Zschopau . There he last played in the third-class district league Karl-Marx-Stadt . At the beginning of 1965, the Zschopauer BSG delegated him to the upper division BSG Motor Zwickau. Initially, Peschke was only used in the reserve team. It was not until the 1966/67 season that Peschke was accepted into the league team, but was only used in seven point games with her. First he played in the first four league matches in various attacking positions, then he was only used three times between the 11th and 19th matchday as a defender. He did not achieve goals.

For the 1967/68 season, Peschke moved to the second-rate GDR league club BSG Stahl Riesa. There he immediately succeeded in playing his way into the starting eleven and played 28 of the 30 point games. Together with Frieder Andrich he was the top scorer in Riesa with eleven goals and was one of the guarantors of promotion to the top division. There he again had difficulties with the increased demands. As in Zwickau, he only made seven first division appearances in the 1968/69 league season. He was only four times in the starting XI, only twice he played 90 minutes, he did not score goals.

So he gave up his league ambitions and made another move to the GDR league club BSG Chemie Wolfen . There he was still active in the 1969/70 and 1970/71 seasons, after which he ended his career as a football player at the age of 30. With the qualification of a qualified sports teacher, Peschke began working as a football coach in 1971. His first stop was TSG Gröditz in the third-class district league Dresden. After just one year, he had led the team to promotion to the GDR league. In 1973 he took over the fourth-class BSG Landtechnik Grossenhain, with which he also rose to the Dresden District League after a year. Grossenhain was already relegated after one season, and Peschke left BSG Landtechnik. In 1976 he became coach of the BSG steel rolling mill Hettstedt in the district league Halle (Saale). There he was initially relegated to the district class after a year, but in 1979 he managed to return to the district league. In the following three seasons he was able to keep the team in the third division, then he went to the GDR league club BSG Chemie Buna Schkopau for the 1983/84 season . There he was initially assistant coach under Rainer Langer and in the summer of 1984 he became the responsible coach of the league team. After the 1987/88 season, Peschke was replaced by Rainer Lisiewicz , and Peschke switched to BSG activist Black Pump , which was also represented in the GDR league.

In the game operations of the German Football Association (DFB) Peschke did not train higher-class clubs. He became honorary coach of the DFB, from September 2002 to February 2003 he was briefly coach of the amateur league club FC Lausitz Hoyerswerda . He later worked as an assistant trainer at DJK Blau-Weiß Wittichenau in the Dresden district class until 2011.
