Hu Qing (* 19th January 1986 in the province of Anhui ) is a Chinese boxer in the lightweight .

Career

Hu Qing won the gold medal at the Asian Games in Doha in 2006, defeating Urantschimegiin Mönch-Erdene , Mongolia, in the final. He had previously won against Paunandes Paulus, Malaysia, Asilbek Talasbajew, Kyrgyzstan and Genebert Basadre, Philippines.

In February 2008 he also won the Asian Olympic qualification in Bangkok after beating Genebert Basadre, Philippines, Serik Jeleuow , Kazakhstan, Bekzod Khidirov, Uzbekistan and Baik Jong-sub, South Korea. He then started at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing , prevailed against Olexander Klijutschko, Ukraine and Merei Aqschalow , Kazakhstan, before he was eliminated in the quarter-finals against Daouda Sow , France.

In December 2008 he was only defeated in the final of the World Cup in Moscow against Albert Selimow , Russia (10:12) after he had defeated Anthony Little, Australia and Famil Suleimanow, Azerbaijan.

In 2010 he won the silver medal at the Asian Games in Guangzhou . After victories against Muhammad Jony, Bangladesh, Dorjnyambuu Otgondalai, Mongolia and Han Soon-chul , South Korea, he was only just defeated 4: 5 in the final by Indian Vikas Krishan .

When trying to qualify for the 2012 Olympic Games in London , he lost the Asian Olympic qualification in Astana in the second preliminary round against Uktamjon Rachmonow, Uzbekistan.

In addition, he was a participant in the World Championships in 2005 in Mianyang , 2007 in Chicago and 2011 in Baku , where he did not get beyond the round of 16.
