Hubert Aratym
Hubert Aratym (born January 22, 1926 in Gutenstein , Lower Austria ; † February 22, 2000 in Vienna ; actually Hubert Pelikan ) was an Austrian painter , sculptor and set designer .
life and work
The focus of his work was the human being and his relationship with other people, whereby he mainly used the stylistic device of reduction in order not to distract from the essentials.
A collection of his works can be seen in the Hubert Aratym Foundation in his birthplace Gutenstein.
For the stage sets for The Balcony (1961, Volkstheater Vienna ) he received the Austrian State Prize for Applied Arts.
