Hubert Piske

Hubert Piske (born February 3, 1937 in Breslau ) is a German painter and graphic artist and former member of the Hamburg Parliament for the SPD .

Life

Hubert Piske obtained his secondary school leaving certificate in Wilster in Schleswig-Holstein in 1955 and then completed a banking apprenticeship with a qualification as a banker. In 1964 he made his Abitur at the state evening school in front of the Holstentor in Hamburg . This was followed by a degree in economics, which he graduated from the University of Hamburg in 1968 with a diploma as a commercial teacher. He then worked as a teacher at the Weidenstieg State Commercial School and Business High School, a commercial vocational school for the banking industry . He was a member of the staff council and was promoted to senior student council .

He is married to the SPD politician Maren Piske and has one child.

In 1965 Piske became a member of the SPD. His political home is the SPD district of Hamburg-Mitte .

District Assembly

He sat for his party in the district assembly in Hamburg-Mitte and later became spokesman for building policy in the building committee and chairman of the urban planning committee. In 1994 he was also traded as a potential district manager for Hamburg-Mitte. He exercised other party functions, he was an assessor in the SPD state executive and spokesman for the SPD center. In January 1997 he became chairman of the district assembly center and was head of the building committee and the urban planning committee. In October 2001 Piske was again appointed chairman of the Hamburg-Mitte district assembly.

He was also an elected member of the commission for land management by the Hamburg-Mitte district assembly .

Hamburg citizenship

Via the state election on June 4, 1978 , he became a member of the Hamburg Parliament and worked there until November 9, 1986 - with a short interruption - mainly in the Committee on Schools and Vocational Training , the Environment Committee and the Committee on Food and Agriculture .

art

In addition to his political duties, Hubert Piske devoted himself increasingly to artistic activity. After experiments with different printing techniques, he set his focus here on colored woodcuts . He resigned from school and became a freelance artist in 1987. He set up a studio on the west coast of Schleswig-Holstein and has been commuting between Hamburg and the North Sea coast ever since. His color woodcuts and paintings are primarily concerned with the coastal landscape. They can be seen in various museums in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein.
