Hubertus Klenner

Hubertus Klenner (born October 7, 1959 in Marsberg ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 2004 to 2014 he was mayor of the Sauerland medium- sized town Marsberg.

Life

He attended the Marsberg secondary school. After graduating from high school, he studied at a technical college for public administration . Hubertus Klenner signed up as a contract soldier for twelve years. The Diploma in Public Administration (FH) was an Advisor in the North Rhine-Westphalian Ministry of Transport in Dusseldorf and lecturer for traffic law in the West German Traffic Safety Institute in Wegberg and juror at the District Court of Mönchengladbach .

Mayor's office

He became mayor of the city of Marsberg in 2004 as a non-party candidate for the CDU. In the first ballot he was still behind the SPD office holder Reinhard Schandelle with 46.9 percent to 48.2 percent . In the runoff election on October 10, 2004, Klenner had 43 votes ahead and won the election with 50.2 to 49.8 percent. Klenner, also as a non-party candidate for the CDU, won the mayoral election in 2009 with a margin of 172 votes with 50.8 percent to 49.2 percent against the SPD candidate Peter Prümper. Hubertus Klenner has since joined the CDU. He did not run for the mayoral election in 2014. His successor in Marsberg was Klaus Hülsenbeck .

As part of his mayoral work, Hubertus Klenner is a member of the board of directors, the balance sheet auditing and risk committee of the Sparkasse Paderborn as well as chairman of the Diemelwasserverband Marsberg and friends of the nature experience forest Meerhof . He is the first founding member of the Friends of the LWL Clinic Marsberg and Chairman of the City Marketing and Economic Development Association Marsberg. He is a member of the supervisory board and the shareholders' meeting of the WirtschaftsFörderungsGesellschaft Hochsauerlandkreis and the advisory board of Regionalverkehr Ruhr-Lippe GmbH (RLG).
