Hugo Alberto Torres Marín (born August 9, 1960 in Briceño , Antioquia , Colombia ) is a Colombian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Apartadó .

Life

Hugo Alberto Torres Marín was ordained a priest on November 24, 1987 .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on May 4, 2011 auxiliary bishop in Medellín and titular bishop of Bossa . The Archbishop of Medellín, Ricardo Antonio Tobón Restrepo , ordained him episcopal on June 4th of the same year; Co- consecrators were José Alejandro Castaño Arbeláez OAR , Bishop of Cartago , and Jairo Jaramillo Monsalve , Archbishop of Barranquilla . As a motto he chose Pro Hominibus Constituitur .

On September 29, 2015, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Apartadó .
