Hwanghae-namdo (South Hwanghae) is a province in North Korea . It was created in 1954 when the province of Hwanghae-do was divided into Hwanghae-pukto and Hwanghae-namdo. The capital of the province is Haeju .
geography
The province borders South Korea to the south, the Yellow Sea to the west, the P'yŏngan-namdo province to the north and the Hwanghae-pukto province to the east .
