IC 2749 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sc in the constellation Leo on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 793 million light years from the Milky Way and about 140,000 light years in diameter . Together with PGC 1349470 it forms an (optical) galaxy pair .
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 2740 , IC 2748 , IC 2757 , IC 2783 .
The object was discovered by Max Wolf on March 27, 1906 .
