action

Benjamin Grönecke, called Ben, is a workhorse. While he is advancing his career as an advertising specialist and not thinking about starting a family, his girlfriend Juliane is different. She is a successful doctor and wants nothing more than a family with Ben. For his 40th birthday, she wants to surprise him with an apartment together and is hoping for a marriage proposal.

At the company, Ben is also confronted with the issue of family. In order to receive a large advertising budget for a baby product campaign, he has to convince his skeptical client, Hans Feldmann, that he is a happy family man. But when Feldmann wants to see Ben's family, he is trapped. He asks his old sweetheart Hanna for help. She should play a harmonious temporary family with her two sons Paul and Jonas.

Actually, Hanna has absolutely no reason to help Ben, as he used to hurt her deeply. Her brother Carsten also warns her about the supposedly unscrupulous heartbreaker. But Hanna needs money and enjoys the idea of having the selfish and ruthless Ben in her hand. She plays along and only a few doubt the authenticity of the family. Both play the couple perfectly - maybe too perfect, because suddenly they develop feelings for each other.

Reviews

This section consists only of a cunning collection of quotes from movie reviews. Instead, a summary of the reception of the film should be provided as continuous text, which can also include striking quotations, see also the explanations in the film format .

"Turbulent (television) comedy about the essential things in life, recognizing dormant talents and rediscovering buried feelings."

"Director Michael Rowitz, otherwise a specialist in thrillers [...], staged one of those comedies based on his own script, in which the viewer can quickly guess where the hare is going, but which are still funny and entertaining. This is especially thanks to the good-humored actors who skillfully verbally pass the balls here. "

"Funny and irrelevant scene recycling"
