Ignatius Paul Pinto

Ignatius Paul Pinto (born May 18, 1925 in Bantval ) is old archbishop of Bangalore .

Life

Ignatius Paul Pinto was ordained a priest on August 24, 1952 .

John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Shimoga on November 14, 1988. The Archbishop of Bangalore Alphonsus Mathias ordained him on 31 January next year to Bishop ; Co- consecrators were John Baptist Sequeira , Bishop of Chikmagalur , and Maxwell Valentine Noronha , Bishop of Calicut .

On September 10, 1998, he was appointed Archbishop of Bangalore. On July 22nd, 2004 Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
