Igors Tarasovs (born October 16, 1988 in Riga ) is a Latvian football player . The midfielder plays for FK Spartaks Jūrmala and for the Latvian national football team .

Career

society

Igors Tarasovs played at Skonto Riga until he was 19 before moving to Olimps Riga . With Olimps he finished last in the table in the first year. At the beginning of the 2009 season , Tarasovs went back to FC Skonto. In the 2010 season of Virslīga he was able to win the Latvian championship. In February 2012, Tarasovs signed a contract until the end of the season with PFK Simurq Zaqatala , where he meets his compatriot Andrejs Rubins .

In the summer of 2016 he was signed by the Turkish second division club Giresunspor . A season later he moved on to the Polish club Śląsk Wrocław .

National team

For the senior national team Igor Tarasov debut in a friendly against Angola in March 2010, as he, after 53 minutes the Latvian most-capped player Vitalijs Astafjevs came on.
