Ilse van Heyst

Ilse van Heyst ( pseudonyms : Nina Eltwich , Nina Nentwich , * May 11, 1913 as Ilse Weichelt in Marienberg , Saxony ) was a German writer and translator .

Life

Ilse van Heyst was the daughter of a sawmill owner and furniture manufacturer. She grew up in the Ore Mountains and Sudetenland , later she lived in Krakow , Zakopane and from 1945 to 1952 in the Netherlands , where she married a Dutch journalist . She was u. a. worked in the catering industry and as a publishing editor and from 1952 to 1955 as a magazine editor in Düsseldorf . From 1955 to 1958 Ilse van Heyst launched a book scientific special library in Munich . Then studied her social psychology and behavioral research . She also wrote short stories for magazines and newspapers . From 1963 Ilse von Heyst was a freelance writer and translator . She traveled extensively and stayed in Italy , Egypt and Indonesia for long periods of time . From 1968 she lived in Baden-Baden .

Ilse van Heyst was the author of books for children and young people and translated from English and Dutch into German .
