action

Andreas Aichbichler heads the mountain rescue service at Heiligengeist. During a rescue, one of the rescuers falls fatally. Margret Murhaupt, a relative of the accident victim, is so shocked that she gives her fiancé Andreas the choice of either the mountain rescue service or her. Reluctantly, he gives in and fulfills her wish. Then Andreas is avoided by his mountain rescue comrades because they have no understanding for his actions. Someone even calls him a coward. But this hurts the young man so much that he wants to prove to the residents of his home village what kind of guy he is. He dares to climb the dangerous Devil's Wall, which no one has yet conquered. Margret is so concerned about this that she turns to her fiancé's former mountain companion for help. She soon realizes that she has wronged not only Andreas but also the whole mountain rescue service with her behavior.

criticism

"Human and social problems in a mediocre, pathetic mountain drama."
